Exciting News

Yesterday we received our architect’s impression of our new build by ABM Design and Build. Progress on the site opposite the Community Centre is being made rapidly. We have been given a best case scenario of moving in to our new purpose built school at the end of October 2019 during the Mid-Term. What an exciting time.  The space will be so welcome. Thank you to all in the school community who believed in us from when we started out with 29 pupils here on Cloonbiggen Road. Our vision hasn’t changed and has survived so many obstacles- Planning Permission for Additional classrooms, working in less than adequate premises but still having high standards, hosting events without a gym, hosting Activity Week each year thanks to our creative parents, providing sports without a pitch or gym and always borrowing or bussing to venues….. It has been challenging but we are so near the permanent premises with all it will afford us. We look forward to the busy months ahead. Thank you again for your patience and your support.

Eimear and Helen's room went on a Winter Walk to Rinville

We had a lovely Winter Walk in Rinville today. The children enjoyed ticking off boxes on their “ Winter Hunt and Park Checklist”. When we got to the playground we had a picnic outside and then the children had a great time playing in the playground. They were very good at carrying their own backpacks. Thank you to all the parents and teachers who helped out on the trip. More pics on classroom section.

Dress Up Day October 26th 2018

On Friday, October 26th 2018, the children were invited to dress up for our annual “Dress Up Day” which we always have the day of the Autumn Mid-Term Break. The children are encouraged to make/design their own costumes or purchase bits and pieces from local charity shops eg “Never Too Old” in Claregalway. “ Never TOO Old” Supports the local Claregalway District and Daycare Centre. This years “ Dress Up Day” was a huge success. We had a bunch of grapes, a shark, rock stars, pirates, Harry Potters, builders, giant tomatoes, a Pink Panther, Ninja’s to name a few.

The whole school went over to Damien’s room where there was a make-shift catwalk ready for the children to show off their costumes class by class and we also had a great sing-song. Thank you to everyone for participating so enthusiastically!
