Dear Parents.
Please find attached the latest information received to us from the Dept of Education regarding Covid 19.
Claregalway Educate Together N.S. has been chosen to take part in the Galway 2020 Immersive Classroom Project. 5th Class will be leading the project in our school. Today, Andrea and Damien went to CISCO in Oranmore to learn more about what will be involved over the next few months. CISCO are generously donating a Webex Board to the school for the duration of the project and a set of 30 VR sets will be shared among the five schools involved. This project will continue into the next school year. JoJo Hynes, a visual artist, will be collaborating on the project over the coming months. Watch this space!
1st Class took a trip to Nun's Island Theatre in Galway City today for a Creative Writing workshop. Together, the children invented a main character with a best friend and created a story collaboratively. Each student had the opportunity to complete the ending and illustrate their story. It was a lovely day out!
Well done to 3rd & 4th Class, current holders of the Anseo Cup. Best attendance for the month of January.
Well done to our Mini-Spikers and Spikeball teams who travelled to Roscommon yesterday to participate in a fun blitz. They played excellently and had a great day!
Well done to our talented students in 5th and 6th Class who put on an excellent performance at the Peace Proms - Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland concert last night. Outstanding singing and dance moves! It was a great night. Thank you to Daniel and Andrea for putting so much time and energy into the practices.
Junior Infants - 4th Class were delighted to be invited along to one of their practice sessions.
