Book Swap

Book Swap

On 10th April, 4th Class held a whole school book swap.

It was a great success with 118 children partaking! As well as doing our part for the environment, we all received a pre-loved book to read over the Spring Break at no cost.

Well done to all involved!

4th Class encourage everyone to visit their local charity shops to find some great bargains.

Siopa Milseán Ag Na Naíonáin Beaga

An Siopa Milseán

An Siopa Milseán

Bhí siopa milseán ag na naíonáin beaga ar an Aoine. Cheannaigh na páistí dhá rud an ceann lena dticéad. Bhí said ag caint as Gaeilge agus bhí spraoi iontach acu.

Junior Infants have been learning the words and phrases associated with shopping in Irish and on Friday there was great excitement when they used all of these in the ‘siopa milseán’.

Our new benches in the courtyard were the perfect spot to enjoy their treats after. These benches were made by the transition year students in Coláiste Bhaile Chláir and kindly donated to our school. Both infants classes have been using these benches lots over the past few weeks. What a lovely gift from our neighbours.

Lego League Explore at ATU

A Trip To ATU

The Pollution Patrol Team

A small group of 3rd Class students (The Pollution Patrol Team) had such a lovely day out on Friday at ATU.

As soon as their project was set up, they had a chance to look around at all the other Lego League Explore projects on display. Liam from the Education Centre interviewed them and was amazed by the knowledge on their build, coding, threats to our oceans and marine biology.

A PhD student gave us a tour of the Robotics Lab. We also got to see a demonstration of the Lego League Challenge Robot Game table and two members of our group won prizes in the raffle!

Well done Pollution Patrol, it was a pleasure to accompany you!
