Wonder Years is a trusted preschool and childcare service in Claregalway, Co. Galway, supporting local families since 2006.

We first opened our doors close to the original CETNS school building in the heart of Claregalway to offer breakfast club, preschool, and afterschool care and we’ve been growing with local families ever since. As we are now located within the CETNS school building our children benefit from access to a range of fantastic facilities, both indoors and outdoors, giving them plenty of space to play, explore, and learn.

We provide a warm, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive whether they are attending our Preschool, Breakfast Club or After School Service.

Wonder Years Facilities

As our Preschool is located within Claregalway Educate Together National School our children benefit from access to a wide range of fantastic facilities, both indoors and outdoors:

Outdoor Courtyard Area – A safe, enclosed outdoor space for daily fresh air and active play.
Astro Pitch – Perfect for our group games, sports, and burning off energy.
School Hall – We have weekly use of the large school hall for movement, music, indoor activities, and special events.
Library – Encouraging a love of reading and storytelling from an early age our preschool group love our weekly trips into the CETNS school library.
Seomra Sonas – A dedicated calm and wellbeing space for our children.
Annual School Tour – Our Preschool annual school tour to the pet farm is always a highlight of the year!

ECCE Preschool in Claregalway

Our preschool participates in the ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) scheme: a Government-funded programme that provides two years of free preschool education for children aged 2 years and 8 months to 5 years and 6 months.

The programme runs for three hours per day, five days a week, from September to June.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for your child to develop socially, emotionally, and creatively in a safe and supportive setting, at no cost to your family.

National Childcare Scheme (NCS)

Wonder Years Breakfast Club and After School is approved under the National Childcare Scheme, which provides financial support to help families with the cost of childcare. Depending on your circumstances, the NCS can significantly reduce your weekly fees.

Applications are made online and the process is straightforward but feel free to reach out to us if you have any queries.
